Every single death of a child is one too many. Ukrainian families are risking their lives in search of safety. During an evacuation, 39 people, including four children, were killed at Kramatorsk railway station by a Russian missile strike on a crowd of people. Recently, a family from Mariupol reached Romania: a father and five young children. The children were shell-shocked and had been living in a basement for two weeks, trying to protect themselves from airstrikes. This war is spiraling out of control, leaving children with long-term trauma that cannot be underestimated.
